Lia started HoundAroundPetsits in 2008 to fill what I saw as a need for reliable, caring, trustworthy, yet affordable pet-sitting services in the Sierra Madre area.
I had been pet-sitting for neighbors, family, and friends for a number of years simply because I love animals. However, it was after the birth of my daughter in 2006 that I realized how necessary it is to have access to that "extra set of hands" not only for times when you are on vacation, but also to provide care for pets when pet parents are just too busy.
So, HoundAroundPetsits was born. My experience now includes pet-sitting for dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, fish, and reptiles. I am currently the pet-parent to two cats and one pug--who loves to play with all of his new doggie and other pet friends! Most importantly, I have a life-long love of animals and have been involved with the Sierra Madre Dog Park and the Pasadena Humane Society, as well as various Spay-Trap-Neuter organizations.
